Clean water to heal.
In Zambia, more than one third of the population does not have access to clean water. Clean water is a necessity for Mwandi’s hospital and patients, and it has been a struggle to continue to bring clean water to the medical facilities on the Hospital compound due to disintegrating piping and a failing pump. The American Partners Board has made the goal of being able to supply clean water to the Hospital by the end of 2020. In order to do this, we are installing a series of pumps, filters, and pipes to be able to transport water from the nearby Zambezi river to the Hospital, appropriately clean it and deliver it patients and respective facilities. We estimate that this project will cost us approximately $75K USD.
